Body, Soul, Spirit

Welcome to my blog. I'm glad you're here. I hope you'll grab a cup of coffee or tea and visit with me a little while. My desire is that while you're here, you'll learn something that helps you live a healthier life; you'll be encouraged or inspired; you'll think about God in a new, more personal way; you'll laugh, or cry. Regardless of your response, I hope when you move on to more important things you'll think it was time well spent.

Why "Life, Health and Other Mysteries"? For those of you who followed my radio talk show, the name is no surprise. Being a nutrition consultant and personal trainer, my focus is often on physical Health. But I believe we have to be healthy in soul and spirit also to live an abundant Life. So you may find health tips in one post, recipes and workout suggestions in another, or family anecdotes and my personal musings about God. And Mysteries? Well, isn't that what life is all about? "Who am I?", "Why am I here?", "Why do I feel this way, and what do I need to do to feel better?"
I'm not a doctor, or a preacher...just a mom and a health coach wanting to make a difference in the world through the passions God put in my heart.
One of my favorite quotes is this:
"When one man (or woman), for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself. " Jacques Cousteau
This is my extraordinary, ordinary life.

Confession Time

Okay, it's confession time. By choosing to publish my personal stories and musings to this blog, I feel a little like you're peeping in my windows. (I hope the house is in order and the furniture dusted.)You might as well just come on in and join me for coffee (yes, I can be a health nut and still drink coffee).
I should tell you, I tend to be self-conscious about my writing so my postings may not be daily. I'll try not to spend hours mulling over the wording for one post, so that I can post more frequently.
And, finally, I want my postings to be meaningful or helpful in some way. Everyone I know lives a busy life. So for you to be here, reading my blog, is humbling in a sense. I feel the weight of wanting to honor your time.
Nonetheless, I'm excited to start this new journey and see where it leads. Glad you're walking along side of me. Let me grab my coffee, and I'm ready to go!
